The new European Union foreign minister is Federica Mogherini from Italy. She has continued to back up her statements that her main foreign policy priority is progress towards a Middle East peace. Her latest statements to this effect were while she was on a trip to the Palestinain territories in the West BAnk and Israel where she met Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu respectively. This was her first trip since the recent elections in Israel in which Benjamin Netahyahu formed a new government which he is leading comprised of consevative or right wing parties that are Israeli nationalist or devout Jewish religious. Most of these parties as well as Netanyahu's parties are not sympathetic to more concessions to the Palestinian ARabs especially without more security for Israel or a willingness of the Palestinians to recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Ms. Mogherini said this is a fact-finding trip but she and the European Union have indicated an increased willingness to pressure the Palestinian Arabs and especially Israel for a Middle East peace as soon as possible. This certainly is consistant with what the Bible says will start the tribulation with the Antichrist or he who makes desolate being part of the revived Roman Empire which we can see in the European Union who will make a Middle East peace agreement that will include allowing the Jews or Israel to build their third Temple on the Temple MOunt in Jerusalem. Although I don't think Ms. Mogherini is the Antichrist partly because I believe he will be a man as he is also called the Man of sin in the Bible I do think Ms. Mogherini will continually to pave the way for his revelation soon and his false peace to start the tribulation or 70th week of Daniel and the preceding rapture of the Church. I would therefore encourage the reader to as soon as possible if you have not done so already to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead to give us new life so you can immediately have a relationship with God and be forgiven your sins and have eternal life and so you can also be taken to heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ and the rest of the Church and not have to face the tribulation and so you can return with Jesus at the end of the tribulation to start to rule on Earth with Him and God the Father over the renewed Earth that will also be led by restored Israel and the nations that join themselves to the God of Israel in the tribulation.
In February 2015 former Middle East Peace Process negotiator Martin Indyk warned that the international community had run out of patience with the Middle East peace negotiations after last year's and many other previous unsuccessful rounds. Mr Indyk was let go of his more official position of his more official Middle East peace negotiator for the President Barack Obama government after it came to light that some very provocative anti-Israel supposedly anonymous online comments regarding Israel and the peace process were found to have been from Mr. Indyk. He continues to have an important globalist position however as deputy president and foreign affairs head of the globalist organization the Brookings Institute. The statement Mr. Indyk recently made that is very important especially if he has higher American and international backing for what he says is that if a right wing government that is not interested in making concessions to the Palestinian Arabs to achieve a full Middle EAst peace deal is not elected in the soon coming Israeli election on March 17, 2015 the American administration of President Obama wouldn't block a possible United Nations Security Council resolution that will set up the terms of a lasting Middle East peace settlement and make effort to impose them on the Israelis and Palestinian Arabs soon after the election. By that he likely meant if current Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu is re-elected with a mostly right wing government that wouldn't pursue and make concessions to the Palestinian ARabs after the coming election. If a left wing government wins in the Israeli election likely under Mr. Herzog the leader of the left wing Labour Party the thinking is they would be more willing to make concessions to the Palestinian Arabs in new Middle East peace talks without as much compulsion from the international community. Either way if what Mr. Indyk is saying is a true reflection of President Obama's government and the international community there could be more accomplished towards a Middle East peace soon after the soon coming Israeli election. From a biblical Christian viewpoint this could mean that the false peace of the Antichrist who will come from Europe with Israel that will allow Israel to build their third temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem according to Daniel 9:27 and that will probably involve some concessions to the Palestinian Arabs is very close to being realized as would also be the preceding rapture of the true Church of people of all nations who have entered into a relationship with God through trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ God's Son that He died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead to give us new life. If you the reader have not already done the above I would strongly encourage you to do this from your heart as soon as possible so you can have eternal life with God and Jesus and all His people the Church and true believers in God from Israel and the nations in heaven and then the Millennial and new Earth and Heavens and not have to go through the horrendous tribulation when God's wrath will be poured out and there will be the tyrannical world rule of the antichrist and the new world order and that you after that would risk eternal torment in hell after that by bearing your own sins instead of trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ to bear them on the cross 2000 years ago.
Despite polls pointing to a comfortable win by the centre-left Labor Party in Israel led by Isaac Herzog there was a surprise result when the actual results came in. When the polls closed at first it looked like there was a virtual tie between the Labor Party of Mr. Herzog and the right of centre Likud Party led by Benjamin Netanyahu at about 27 seats each out of a total of 120 seats in the Israeli Parliament or Knesset. 61 seats or a majority of the 120 seats are needed to form a coalition government with all governments in modern Israel being coaltion governments as no party in any of the elections has ever got a majority of the seats in the Knesset by themselves. However as the night wore on on election night in Israel and more than 99% of the votes were counted it became clear there was a different picture. The more final results put the results as 30 seats for Benjamin Netanyahu and his Likud Party and 24 seats for Isaac Herzog and his Labor party with the next nearest party the Arab list having 14 seats followed closed behind by Yair Lapid's party and the Kulanu party of Mr. Kahlon and Jewish Home party of Mr. Bennett. It definitely now looks like Mr. Netanyahu will have the first chance to form a government and the talk is that this would likely be formed of right wing parties but it is possible that he could include some more centre parties but he has two or three weeks to bring enough other parties on board with him to form a government with over 60 seats. Mr. Nethanyahu had said the day before the election that he would not support any more the two state solution with a Palestinian Arab state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip as well as a Jewish state in the basic territory of Israel but today he has limited this position in saying he still favours a two state solution but not until it is proven the Palestinians would be strong enough to resist any attempts to resist a takeover of a Palestinian State in the West Bank such as from Hamas or Isis or some other Islamic militant group. This is a justified fear as this has already happened in the Gaza Strip that has been taken over by the militant group Hamas or before when Israel pulled out of southern Lebanon and it has been taken over by the Islamic militant group Hezbollah.
Today, March 19, 2015 US President Barack Obama or someone in his administration stated what had been threatened before the Israeli election. This is that in the American view a right-wing Israeli government has been elected especially if Netanyahu is able to form a coalition government especially if it is mostly right wing parties. Also the Americans under Mr. Obama did not like Mr. Netanyahu's pledge to no longer support the two state solution to the Middle East peace process between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs. So the Obama state department has said the United States might respond by participating in or at least not vetoing or otherwise blocking any United Nations Security Council or similiar internation solution that would draw up their idea of a Middle East peace agreement that might not be too favourable to Israel and then seek to impose it on Israel and the Palestinian Arabs. In my mind and according to my knowledge of a literal interpretation of the Bible and current events and recent history in the Middle East this looks like the Americans have lost patience in the Israeli willingness to make further concessions to the Palestinians even though such concessions have ended up hurting Israel in the past and haven't led to peace with the Palestinians and in some cases other people such as the issue about southern Lebanon a soon imposed Middle East peace agreement could quickly lead to the false peace of the Antichrist or coming world dictator or Beast out of the sea or man of sin with Israel and other Middle East nations and perhaps some world powers. It is likely the Antichrist will come out of Europe as he is mentioned in Daniel 9 as being related to the person Titus who was the Roman general and later emperor who destroyed the temple in Jerusalem and the city of Jerusalem and who was from Europe. The covenant or treaty of the Antichrist with Israel will also allow Israel to build their third Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and resume the animal sacrifices and other Levitical worship such as was practiced in the Old Testament by Israel. Half way through the tribulation the antichrist will stop these services and take over the temple to force the world to worship him as God and to worship Satan the devil through him and then at the end of the 7 year tribulation the Lord Jesus Christ (Messiah) will come from Heaven with His Church, God the Father and His holy angels to judge the world including the Antichrist and false prophet and set up God's Kingdom on earth centred on Jerusalem led by the restored nation of Israel and people of the nations that join themselves to the true God the God of Israel and also believe that believe in the God of the Bible through His Son Jesus Christ that form the true Church. Before the Antichrist is revealed with this agreement with Israel for a Middle East peace with the Arabs or other peoples that will allow the Jews to build their temple again God will catch up or rapture all true Christians who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ that He died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead to give us new life to heaven and give us spiritual and resurrection to life bodies and free us from any sin. I encourage the reader therefore to as soon as possible if you haven't done so already to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ according to the Bible especially the New TEstament as your personal Lord and Saviour so you can have a relationship with God through Jesus and have all your sins forgiven and have eternal life but also be assured that you will be taken to heaven in the rapture of the Church and not be left behind on earth for Earth's darkest hour with the worldwide tyranny of the Antichrist and God's pouring out His judgments on this world. The scripture from Daniel 9:27 mentioning this false peace of the Antichrist and the following events of the 70th week of Daniel such as the Antichrist half way through that week taking over the temple and then the Lord Jesus the Messiah judging the Antichrist is as follows: And he (the Antichrist) shall confirm the covenant (or treaty) with many for one week (of seven years): and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation (in the Jewish Levitical worship of God in the Temple) to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it (the temple) desolate, even until the consummation (Jesus second coming to judge the world and set up God's Kingdom on Earth), and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate (desolator - the Antichrist or Beast out of the Sea). In Israeli election law the party that has the most seats in an election usually gets first chance to form a government. There has never been in modern Israel an election where one party has received a majority of the seats partly because they use a form of proportional representation. But to form a government one of the leading parties is expected to try to make arrangements to get other parties the leading party would like to share rule with them to join in a power sharing government. The number of seats that each party has and the ideological background are main considerations in the smaller parties invited to join to form a government by one of the leading parties. Historically and it was still true in this election the leading political parties in Israel have been the right of centre Likud Party which is currently led by Benjamin Netanyahu and the Labour Party currently led by Isaac Herzog. In this last election the Likud Party obtained 30 seats and the Labour Party which has been renamed the Zionist Union which isn't really an appropriate name received 24 seats. Therefore the Likud Party led by Mr. Netanyahu got the first chance to form a government. In the basic allotment of time he failed to get enough seats from other parties to form a government of at least 60 seats which is a majority of the 120 seats in the Knesset or Israeli parliament. However he was allowed an extension of another 2 weeks which has happened before in Israeli politics. He has now succeeded in forming a coalition government with the slimest majority of 61 seats. This is partly because he has focused exclusively on right wing orthodox or ultra-orthodox conservative or right wing parties including his own and ignored the Zionist Union or other liberal or left of centre parties. Mr. Netanyahu got a final agreement to make this coalition when he succeeded in agreeing to terms with the leader of the Jewish Home party led by Naftali Bennett to join Mr. Netanyahu's coalition. The distribution of cabinet positions is another major factor in establishing coalition governments in Israel and Mr. Netanyahu has used these as a means to attract his coaltion partners.
Although I haven't heard all the reaction from different parties to the end result of this last Israeli election, I have heard some and others are probably predictable since the makeup of this government is quite clear and probably unpopular with many in this world but probably quite Biblical and respecting the true God the God of the Bible. The left wing of Israel has been quite critical of this government because they think it is too right wing and doesn't include them. The Palestinian Arabs have been quite critical of it because they say it is not democratic and isn't interested in peace. This new Israeli government might not be interested in peace with the Palestinians but the Palestinians haven't been interested with peace with Israel for a long time and they are much less democratic not having had an election since 2006 although they are supposed to have them every 5 or 6 years at least I think. There hasn't been much said by President Obama and the United States government yet but they made clear before this election that they would see a right wing coalition as undesirable and an obstacle to their foreign policy that included a Middle East peace with Israel and its Arab neighbours. The European Union would probably feel about the same way and could now more actively try to force a Middle East peace through the United States through countries like France. The Arab and other Muslim countries not least Iran will probably not like this Israeli coalition government because they wanted a more left leaning Israeli government that would try to make peace with the Palestinians or other Arabs especially on terms to the best advantage or the Arab or Muslim countries and not to the advantage of Israel. Mr. Herzog of the labour party would probably give in a lot more to such wishes or demands. The United Nations will probably also be disappointed in seeing this coalition government as not in the interests or proceeding with the Israeli Palestinian peace process. The possible biblical significance of all this new coalition government in Israel is that a possible action by the United States to refrain to veto any French or other UN Security member action to advance a resolution in the UN Security Council to set forth terms on Israel and the Palestinians and possibly other Arab countries of a Middle East peace could soon go ahead and this could be used soon by the Antichrist or Beast out of the Sea or Man of Sin to confirm a Middle East peace agreement that will include allowing the Jews to build their third temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and his authorization to build that and other aspects of this peace agreement would start the seven year tribulation or 70th week of Daniel. Before that according to a literal and in context interpretation of the Bible would be the rapture or catching up to heaven of the true Church of those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour. I would encourage you the reader to as soon as possible including before the rapture of the church if you haven't done so already to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ that he died for our sins on the cross and rose again to give us new life so you can be taken to heaven with the rest of the Church or God's heavenly or spiritual people of all earthly nations and to reign on Earth in the Millennial Kingdom and eternity with restored Israel and the saved of the nations and be spared the tribulation and of an eternity in hell afterwards that all human beings deserve for our sins.
In June 2015 representatives of the Vatican or Roman Catholic Church signed a mutual declaration specifying the treatment under the Palestinian Authority of Roman Catholic properties in areas designated under international agreements to the Palestinian Arabs. This is even though neither the Palestinians were not supposed to act unilaterailly in making international deals until a peace agreement with Israel is achieved according to the previous Oslo accords in the 1990s. If Israel wanted this could be some grounds for Israel refusing to continue to recognize the authority of Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority that were created as part of the Oslo accords as provisions towards an eventual Israeli-Palestinian peace deal. The Vatican included East Jerusalem as part of the territory that it recognized as part of a Palestinian State including all the Old City of Jerusalem including the Temple Mount and the Western Wall on the side of the Temple Mount. When this area was under the control of the Arabs through the Arab country of Jordan between 1948 and 1967 Jews had no access even to the western wall and some of the synagogues in the Old City were damaged or destroyed and it is quite possible a similiar fate could happen to Jewish sites and Jewish access to them if Muslim Arabs in the form of the Palestinian Arabs get control of this territory again. As a Bible believing Christian I think this could mean that the Antichrist or the Beast out of the Sea or Man of Sin is soon to be revealeed and start the tribulation with signing an agreement with Israel to allow their building of their Third Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem before other Gentile or non-Jewish powers get too much in control of the Temple Mount and make this too difficult. I think the Antichrist providing for the Jews and their long desired temple would instantly make him very popular with them and he would be hailed as a Messiah as the Persian king Cyrus was when he allowed the Jews to rebuild the Temple around 500 BC after the Babylonians destroyed the 1st or Solomon's Temple. This is even though the Antichrist will remove the Jewish worshippers half way through the tribulation to enforce world worship of himself as God and of the devil or dragon through the antichrist. This action of the Vatican to me and other Bible believing Christians also indicates the rapture or catching up to heaven of all true Christians or the true Church is also very near as the 70th week of Daniel which is the whole 7 year tribulation is only associated with Daniel's people the Jews with the Church not in view in Daniel 9 because the Church or God's chosen heavenly or spiritual people but not spiritual or true Israel will be removed to Heaven by then. Israel or the Jews in the Bible mean the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob except for a few references in the New Testament such as Galatians 6 where the Israel of God or the true Jew in Romans 2 are mentioned which are Jews that believe in Jesus but not Christians in general but most references to Israel even in the New TEstament are to Israel in the true sense as the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. With these events in the holy land and involving the Palestinian Arabs, the land of Israel and the Roman Catholic Church that I believe will lead the mystery Babylon Church of Revelation 17 and be involved with the Antichrist I would urge the reader to as soon as possible if you haven't already to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart that he died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead to give us new life so you can have eternal life, a relationship with God and a home in heaven and be part of the true Church and so you also won't have to go through the tribulation. In August 2015 the Israeli supreme court at the request of Israeli left-wing groups amended the Israeli Infiltrator Law. This law is meant to discourage illegal immigration into Israel that is especially from Africa, particularly Sudan and Eritrea, and that has caused serious social problems where they settle especially in southern Tel Aviv. Some of the social disturbances, especially in Tel Aviv, include significant problems with African infiltrators or illegal immigrants doing acts of violence or sexual crimes against Jewish women. The left wing Israelis are partly responsible for encouraging these African infiltrators to come to Israel. Although some of these illegal immigrants do get jobs especially below minimum wage, some are still unemployed and I think most don't have many skills. I think there isn't much effort by them or the Israelite government to get them to convert to Judaism. I understand that there are immigrants from other parts of the world including the west that are Christians and I am glad that they are allowed to continue to be Christians in Israel especially if they aren't replacement theology but instead are evangelical Christians that support the restoration of Israel but they mostly come legally and in a managed way by the Israeli government while that is not true of these infiltrators. Part of the problem is that the supreme court is overruling legislation already established by Israel's elected government the Knesset and this takes power and accountability to the people of Israel away from their democratically elected parliament. The discussed Infiltrator Law was passed by the 19th session of the Knesset according to Israel National News. The ruling by the Israeli Supreme Court mostly rejected the proposed revision of the law but there was a change in the length of time infiltrators are allowed to be kept in confinement in what are called open facilities. Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked and some other members of the Knesset the Israeli parliament were especially upset with what they felt was interference by the Supreme Court at the instigation of left wing groups in this case to laws passed by Israel's democratically elected parliament. With the increase of infiltration this year it is found that some of the infiltrators are paid by Israelis to come back especially by left wing Jews or perhaps by Israeli employers that benefit by employing the infiltrators or illegal immigrants at wages below minimum wage. Some of the infiltrators have now been found to be return infiltrators who were already removed from Israel. In the Bible people of other nations in the land of Israel are called strangers, aliens or foreigners and there are some passages that mention strangers or people of other nations coming into Israel with the word posess as in possess the land or buildings etc. such as in Ezekiel 36, Psalm 83 that could refer at least in part to this as a problem and challenge to the Jewish character of the nation of Israel in the last days until the coming in power and great glory of the Messiah of Israel Jesus of Nazareth. The above scriptures could also refer to Arabs and other Gentile people in the land of Israel as well however. Although most of the enemy states mentioned in Psalm 83 can be readily determined by good Bible reference works, one place was not known to myself until recently and is more obscure. This is Gebal which according to a map in the Scofield Reference Bible is the same as Byblos in northern Lebanon. Although Byblos was not an obscure place in ancient history and for a long time was a major port even in the early days of ancient Egypt it is not well known but the name Gebal which is probably the Hebrew name for it. The inhabitants of Gebal were called Giblites as in Joshua 13. These actions of the Arabs and other infiltrators into and to possess land in Israel will probably be even worse and more extensive after the rapture of the Church once the tribulation starts or at least the second half of the tribulation before Messiah Jesus comes to fully restore Israel and the saved of the nations and to set up His Kingdom. The scripture references of people of Gentile or non-Jewish nations coming into to infiltrate Israel and to occupy or possess some of its land in the last days before the Saviour of the world and Messiah of Israel Jesus of Nazareth comes to fully restore Israel to God and to restore all their land covenanted to them by God in Ezekiel 36, Psalm 83 is as follows:

on the morning of the day before Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish civil new year or Feast of Trumpets, there was a significant disturbance on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Early in the morning there there were some Jewish pilgrims going to visit the Temple Mount who had almost finished their visit according to Israel National News then an Arab youth perhaps about 20 started harassing them. The Israeli police noticed this and intimidated the Muslim youth and attempted to arrest him but did not fire or treat him roughly but he acted as if they did fire on him. This caught the interest of some other Muslims on the Temple Mount that either did think the Israeli police fired on this Muslim man or treated this as if they did. These Muslims then started to riot and were joined by some Arab MKs or Members of the Israeli parliment. They started all screaming at the Israeli police and shouting abusive sayings at them in Arabic. This then led to some of the Arab mob, although I don't think this included the MKs, throwing rocks, firecrackers or other fireworks at the Israeli police and some doing this from the Al Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount. The Israeli police responded with rubber bullets but nothing more serious. In the end there was some damage to the Al Aqsa mosque to where the Israeli police were returning fire to Muslim protesters hurling objects from there at the Israeli police outside the doors. At this point it looks as though Jewish pilgrims will be free to make a pilgrimage to the Temple Mount which is the most holy site in Judaism or should rightly be considered so even more than the western wall as it was on the Temple Mount that Solomon's (the 1st) Temple and Zerubbabel's/Herod's or the 2nd TEmple stood where the Jews came before the one true God under the Law of Moses and where the 3rd TEmple and the Millennial Temple will stand in the future according to God's word the Holy Bible. There were many Muslims camped out on the Temple Mount overnight with weapons with the intention of causing unrest to try to prevent Jews from going up to the TEmple Mount to celebration the Jewish holidays and to honour the true God. As might be guessed the Israeli authorities including Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Interior Security minister Mr. Erdan defended, rightly, Israeli authorities effort to allow also Jewish religious freedom on the Temple Mount on Jewish holidays such as Rosh Hashanah while some Muslim or Arab leaders including those of Jordan and Egypt and the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and the militant Israeli leader of the Islamic Movement of Israel Mr. Khatib all spoke against the Israeli action saying it was a provocation and denying that it was initiated by militant Muslims and denying that the Jews have a right to share access to the Temple Mount. When all these things are happening I would encourage the reader if you haven't already done so to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ that He died on the cross for our sins after living a perfect life and then rose again to give us new life and a relationship with God and so you can also be taken to heaven in the rapture of the Church very soon and not left behind on Earth to face the tyranny of the Antichrist starting with his agreement with Israel to build the third Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount as in Daniel 9:27 or 12:11 and which he will take over for worship of himself by people on earth then. If you have trusted in Jesus or trust in Him soon before these quickly coming events you can also reign with Jesus and God and the rest of the true Church and the restored to God through Jesus of Israel and the nations from the tribulation after Jesus comes to Earth in the Millennial Kingdom and then for eternity.
In late September 2015 Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas announced withdrawal of the Palestinian Arabs from the Middle East peace process of the last 20 years based on the Oslo accords drawn up by Israeli leader Yitzhak Rabin and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat around 1993. In Mr. Abbas' speech he criticized Israel for some things he said were Israeli hindrances to the peace process such as continuing to build Jewish settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem that was land added by Israel since the Six Day War in 1967 and that much of the international community said should be part of a Palestinian state. However in God's word the Holy Bible this is all clearly land that the true and living God Jehovah or Yahweh (the LORD) has given by covenant to his chosen earthly people Israel or the Jewish people unconditionally through their fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel) and conditionally based on obedience to the Law of Moses in God 's covenant with Israel through Moses. Mr. Abbas also made many other criticisms of Israel in his speech which he claimed hindered the peace process with the Palestinians that were even more without substance. It should be noted that the Fatah party or Palestine Liberation Organization or Palestinian Authority of which Mr. Abbas and his party has led since the death of Yasser Arafat even throughout this 20 years of the peace process with Israel has never renounced the statements in their founding charters to use armed force to remove Israel from part of all of the holy land in order to establish a Palestinian Arab state there. Also it was the participation of the Palestinian Fatah party in the peace process with Israel that started in earnest with the Oslo accord that persuaded western and many other countries of the world to delist the Fatah party and PLO/PA as terrorist groups and now that same Fatah or PLO/PA party has publicly torn up that agreement or their participation in it with the announcemnt of Mr. Abbas at his speech in this year's UN GEneral ASsembly meeting.
Part of the reaction to Mr. Abbas' action was indicated by Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu in his speech the following day to Mr. Abbas' speech at the UN General ASsembly. Mr. Netanyahu spent most of his time including the first part talking about his concern about Iran and the recent world deal with Iran regarding Iran's nuclear program which he said with some justification that it wouldn't substantially reduce the threat to Israel or some western places like Europe and America of Iran's hostile and expansionist plans. However Mr. Netanyahu did get around to addressing the Palestinian issue including Mr. Abbas' actions the preceding day. He basically said there was a lot the Palestinians have also done contrary to advancing peace with Israel including according to the Oslo accords including much recent violence around Jerusalem including on the Temple Mount and continuing incitement by Palestinian leaders not least Mr. Abbas himself against Israel but that Israel is still willing to resume peace talks with the Palestinians under Mr. Abbas without preconditions as soon as possible. Mr. Netanyahu made no clear committment to withdraw Israel from the Oslo accords but I don't think he clearly said he would commit Israel to the same level of committment to them that they have been following. However there are many other people in Israel among the Jews including in Mr. Netanyahu's governing coaltion and some Jews in America and elsewhere as well as evangelical Christians and some others that are encouraging Mr. Netanyahu to fully withdraw Israel from the Oslo accords as well and treat Mr. Abbas and his Fatah or Palestinian Authority party as terrorists and take a tighter rein on East Jerusalem and the WEst Bank but this hasn't really been done yet even though since then there has been ARab rioting in much of the WEst Bank and East Jerusalem that has probably been inspired by Mr. Abbas' actions in the UN. Even after Mr. Abbas' proclamation the world powers group called the Quartet composed of leaders of the United States, the European Union, the United Nations and Russia encouraged both Israel and the Palestinians to encourage the peace process with each other although they didn't say how this could be affected if the Palestinians anyway don't acknowledge the Oslo accords or their participation in them anymore. Here in Canada where there has been much support for the Oslo accord as a basis for the peace process between the Israeli and Palestinians for the last 20 years not least by the sometimes left wing or sympathetic to the Palestinians media there has not been much attention or from Europe or United States or other parts of the world which is somewhat strange since this has been a main item for international foreign policy for a long time. It will be interesting to see how this proceeds including based on the next moves of Israel and the Palestinians or others.
The significance of the action last month by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas in his UN General Assembly speech to revoke Palestinian involvement in the Oslo accords and in much of the peace process with Israel is of great, immediate and ominous significance in Bible prophecy. First is that this makes it look like a full and durable MIddle East peace made by mere human effort is virtually impossible or at least much less possible than before Abbas' statement. This could become even more so if Israel follows through soon and revokes their participation in the Oslo accord and related peace process. The world community feels with some justification that they have achieved a deal with Iran and their nuclear program and that now probably the main conflict or disagreement that has to be addressed to get more world peace or especially peace between the west and the Islamic world is to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. However this has just become much more difficult and I would say based on all the other things going on in the world including globalization including the passing at the same UN conference of the Agenda 2030 Global Sustainiliby Goals and the ongoing intense conflict and strife between the Jews and Muslims over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem that this setback to the Middle East peace process could mean that a superhuman Middle East peace by the action of the devil and permitted by God as mentioned in Daniel 9:27 to start the 7 year tribulation is on the immediate horizon and now much more likely. According to a literal interpretation of the Bible in context there will be the catching up of all true Christians who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour as the next great prophetic event and just before the covenant or treaty of the antichrist or beast out of the sea or he who works abomination with Israel to allow them to build their third temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. There will likely be something substantial given by him or forced on Israel to the Arabs in this deal as well but to which the Bible is not as clear about but could be giving much of the West Bank to the ARabs. This tribulation or third Jewish temple will half way through the tribulation be taken over by the Antichrist who will use it to force people all over the world to worship him as God in the holy of holies in this temple or be killed. The Antichrist and his associate the false prophet and his government will be defeated by the Lord Jesus Christ when he comes again to Earth at the end of the tribulation to judge the world including the Antichrist and set up God's kingdom on earth. Since all these things could very soon and probably sooner than was indicated just a short time ago start to go into action I would encourage the reader if you haven't already done so to admit you are a sinner before God and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ that he was God in the flesh who led a perfect life and then died on the cross in Israel to pay for our sins and then rose from the dead to give us eternal life and a relationship with God, forgiveness of all our sins and a home in heaven if we trust in him with our heart as well as our head so you can be taken to heaven at the rapture of the church and then participate in all of God's other eternal blessings for the Church and not be left behind to face God's judgment in the tribulation and perhaps eternal judgment in hell or the lake of fire after that.
